Anna Osofsky, DVM, dipl AVBP, cerified in Avian Practice is one of a very small group of specialists, known as Diplomates, who earned the Diplomate title from the ABVP. In fact, Dr. Osofsky is one of nine ABVP Diplomates certified in Avian Practice in Texas. Currently there are only 110 ABVP Diplomates certified in Avian Practice nationwide.
What does that mean? It means your veterinarian made a choice to undergo a long and difficult process of additional studies and examination to become a board certified specialist recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). This process takes a minimum of three years to complete and the motivation behind it is, very simply, excellence.
ABVP Diplomates have proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine. Beyond that, they have earned the privilege to specialize in the treatment of one or more categories of animals.
How does this affect you? You can rest easy knowing your animals are receiving expert treatment because your veterinarian feels a strong commitment to providing the best possible care.
